Welcome! At Onni & Ilona, we develop digital mobile apps for kids with a distinct focus on early child cognitive development. The aim has been to support eyesight and visual object recognition skills in infants with a suite of fun, easy-to-use apps. Our apps are designed for shared use by parents and children.

Eyesight develops rapidly during the first months in a newborn baby’s life. Early eyesight is often described as unfocused or blurry, and therefore infants find high-contrast and simple patterns most appealing.

This is the origin of the design of Onni & Ilona - to both delight and educate.

Onni & Ilona: Happy Shapes is a puzzle game for children aged 1-5 years that supports the development of fine motor and visual object recognition skills. Kids reconstruct an assortment of charming characters from their loose parts. Successful attempts are rewarded with amusing animations.

Onni & Ilona: Happy Animals is specifically designed to support early development of eyesight in babies aged 0-12 months. An assortment of 12 charming animals animate in fun ways and provide endless enjoyment, curiosity and calm to newborns as well as older infants.
