About Onni & Ilona
Onni & Ilona is a childrens products company with a special focus on early visual and cognitive development of infants. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Onni & Ilona provides tools and accessories primarily for supporting visual stimulation and eyesight development in young children.

History
Onni & Ilona was founded by Leena Junnila in 2007 and has been in operation ever since, producing a number of goods for children. The company garnered a following with their physical visual stimulation cards, which have been distributed all over the world. In 2017, Onni & Ilona partnered with Olli Hassinen and Ilari Niitamo, who make up Pintxo Creative, to develop and produce a series of mobile apps with the intention of bringing its products to digital platforms.

In June 2017, Onni & Ilona: Happy Animals was released on Apple App Store as the debut app of the series. It was featured by Apple worldwide at the time and has enjoyed high listings ever since. Up until now, the app has been downloaded more than 100,000 times and currently has over 4000 ratings on the App Store worldwide with an impressive all-over score of 4.3/5.

In August 2020, the company released the second app of the series, Onni & Ilona: Happy Shapes on the Apple App Store. Also continuously featured worldwide by Apple, it now has over 2000 ratings on App Store and boasts a score of 4.2/5.
